Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Can parents and coaches come to watch?

A. Yes. We encourage parents, coaches and friends to watch any and all of the sessions.

Q. Are teams welcome and are there any team discounts?

A. Teams are welcome at all of the camps and will be trained together. Team discounts of $10 are available for groups of 6 or more for the Full Day and Half Day Camps. Team discounts are also available for the Residential Camp. Groups of 8 or more will receive a $25 discount. Please contact Clark McCarthy at mccart43@mailbox.sc.edu for a promo code to get your discount.

Q. What are the cancellation and refund policies?

A. All cancellations and/or request for refunds must be received two weeks before the Residential camp and 72 hours before the Full day/Half Day camp and ID Elite Skills Camp. The “Request for Refund” document (found in the Camp Manual) must be submitted for consideration. If the cancellation notice is received before the above-said deadline, a 50% refund will be applied, minus administrative fee. The administrative fee is not refundable for any reason. If the cancellation notice is received after the above-said deadline, 0% of the paid balance will be returned unless there is a medical circumstance in which proper documentation is required. If proper documentation for medical circumstance is presented, then a 50% refund will be applied, minus administrative fee. Carolina Soccer School reserves the right to change and/or cancel any camp at any time in which a full refund will be honored. If you are using a gift certificate, there will be NO refunds, but you will have the opportunity to transfer to the next day camp offered.

Q. What meals will be provided for the campers?

A. Full Day campers are provided with sandwiches ordered from local sandwich shops. Half Day campers and Full day campers are encouraged to bring snacks for the morning break.

For the Residential campers, meals are provided through the University Dining Services at the cafeteria in the Honors dorms. We also have pizza parties and order sandwiches from local sandwich shops as well. Meals will be provided starting with dinner on the first night of camp and ending with breakfast on the final day of camp.

Q. Where will the Residential and Team campers be staying?

A. This year they will be staying in the New Honors Residence. It’s located on the corner of Blossom and Main St. The address is 607 Main St Columbia, SC 29201. To read more about these new dorms, please visit this link: www.housing.sc.edu

Q. Where can parents and coaches park?

A. You can park in the park anywhere on Marion St or Heyward St in marked parking spots. Parking is also available in the Fieldhouse parking lot (facing Pickens St). There is also a parking garage located at 1300 Heyward St. Parking is free on floors 4 and 5.

Q. What are the pick-up and drop-off locations and times for the Commuters (not staying in dorms)?

A. Drop off by 9:00am at Stone Soccer Stadium and pick-up at 8:45pm at Stone Soccer Stadium.

Q. What are the pick-up and drop-off locations and times for Residential campers (staying in dorms)?

A. Drop off at 2pm on the first day and pick up at 12pm on the last day at the Honors Residence.

Q. What are the pick-up and drop-off locations and times for Full Day and Half Day campers?

A. Drop off at 8:45am at Stone Soccer Stadium and pick up at 12pm (for Half Day campers) and 3pm (for Full Day campers) at Stone Soccer Stadium.

Q. What should the Residential campers (staying in dorms) bring?

A. Soccer cleats, shin guards, sneakers, water bottle, sun screen, backpack, linens, towel, soccer clothes, regular clothes, shower shoes, toiletries, sleeping bag and pillow.

Q. What should Day campers bring to camp?

A. Soccer cleats, shin guards, sneakers, water bottle, sun screen, backpack, and soccer ball, sandals.

Q. What can campers buy at the camp store?

A. T-shirts of all colors, hoodies, sackpacks and balls.

Q. What meals will be provided for the Full Day and Half Day camps?

A. Full Day campers are provided with sandwiches and/or pizza ordered from local sandwich/pizza shops. Half Day campers and Full day campers are encouraged to bring snacks for the morning break.

Q. What meals will be provided for the Residential camp?
